Why do people want to declare their identity for things that aren’t visible to others on the network? This is really just data for advertisers’ purposes...I guess and to assert that many women do like technology, but should we feel responsible for correcting big tech so that we get this right, ant the same time enriching big tech’s data and profits? There should be a way to tell advertisers that google/fb got it wrong so that it reflects the true value of the data (and all flaws therein)...and maybe give advertisers an excuse to claw back some of their money back from fb, goog.
