Stop using non-sentient. It doesn't mean what you think it does. Animals — and monsters, here — know what they are and where they fall in the universe's heirarchy. That makes them sentient beings. Even insects and bugs are sentient — ants being a great example of that.

This confuses me. At the battle, Petal has a mother. When Richter meets Petal's father, he tells Richter that Petal's mother died during childbirth. Is the woman her stepmother, or is this just another inconsistency of the series?

A copse already means "a small group of trees". Adding "of trees" after it is redundant. I would have refrained from using copse in the first place.

How the hell is it's disposition neutral? Not only is it charmed which should lower it, but it and the rest of the goblins were severely injured or killed by Richter and the Sprites.
