“You have to learn to recognise when you can’t—” I swung my knee up into his balls. His breath rushed from him and he stumbled back, his hands falling away from me. Whoops. I had intended to knee him; I just hadn’t intended to knee him there.
“She’s like a wild animal,” Rome muttered, his glittering eyes locked onto mine. “Every single time you poke her, she fights back.”
“I thank the gods every single sun-cycle that you tripped into our lives, Soldier.” His smile was so bright, like he was on the verge of laughing. “But you really need to get dressed now, otherwise Chaos might get his wish.”
“Move that perfect ass. You have one click or I’ll be back to dress you myself.”
