Not so much anymore, while most people still have no clue about it, more people of younger generations are. Way back I lived on IRC which I guess was a baby dark web, it’s still there but I haven’t been on in ages, but like the DW you needed to be careful and you needed help to get into certain areas, if you weren’t vouched for forget it, you’d see general channels, but none of the ones where anything deeper was going on. The people who ran it weren’t ones you’d like to peeve off.
