Her mother’s funeral had come and gone, family and close friends only.
That’s a mistake he made, he should of gone, contacted her, something, I know because I did a similar thing, my boss/coworker, we were very good friends, mainly at work though, a couple of drinks a few times after shift, and she invited me to her wedding, that’s not what I didn’t do though, I went to her wedding snd reception. What I didn’t do was stupider, her husband died in an accident and obviously she was away from work, for around 6 months. I kept wondering if I should call her or not, but I kept wondering if it was my place to, did I have the right to infringe on her when she was going through this, so I didn’t.
That was a mistake, THE mistake, I should of called her, awkward or not, I just should of said or done something, anything, sometimes we can overthink the little things and mess up the big ones.
