CREATE YOUR LUCK
In chess there’s a saying: “Only the good players are lucky.”
Everything is a game. Understanding the rules allows you to succeed.

ASK LOUSY QUESTIONS, GET LOUSY ANSWERS
TO MASTER ANYTHING, TALK TO THE EXPERTS

LOOK AT GOALS DIFFERENTLY
EXPERTS KNOW THEY KNOW NOTHING
The reality is the experts know zero. With every investment expert that Tony interviewed they not only had a plan B. They had a plan C, D, and E.
HIS ENERGY IS INFECTIOUS
THE TONY ROBBINS METHOD
Which I defined as: *At first you don’t know anything. *You find five people who are the experts in the world. *You extensively interview them. *You figure out the simplest things they have in common with each other. *You do that simple thing over and over and over and over (repetition). And that’s how you succeed.
PEOPLE NEED CERTAINTY AND VARIETY
A producer at [well known television show] said to me, “Whatever you do, don’t ever say ‘I don’t know.’ If you say that, we’ll never ask you back.”
Einstein said, “Curiosity has its own reason for existing.”
“What is the one-sentence summary of how you change the world? Always work hard on something uncomfortably exciting!”
“Listen more than you talk. Nobody learned anything by hearing themselves speak.”
“Start making suggestions for how to improve your workplace. Don’t be a shrinking violet, quietly getting your job done adequately. Be bold, and the sky is the limit.”
“Age isn’t as important so long as you are surrounded by people you love, doing things you passionately believe in.”
Laura Ingalls Wilder was 65 when she wrote her first book. The book launched the Little House on the Prairie series.
“To be a real entrepreneur you always have to be looking forward. The moment you rest on your laurels is the moment your competition overtakes you.”
“There is no such thing as a boring person: everyone has stories and insights worth sharing. While on the road, we let our phones or laptops take up our attention. By doing that, we might miss out on the chance to learn and absorb ideas and inspiration from an unexpected source: our fellow travelers.”
“It can be easy to find reasons not to do something. However, you might be surprised by how much help is at hand if you put yourself out there and commit to a project. It doesn’t have to be a case of struggling along by yourself.”
“When most people think about taking a risk they associate it with negative connotations, when really they should view it as a positive opportunity. Believe in yourself and back yourself to come out on top. Whether that means studying a course to enable a change of direction, taking up an entry-level position on a career ladder you want to be a part of, or starting your own business—you’ll never know if you don’t give it a try.”
follow down the rabbit hole of your influences. Every song you like, every movie, every book, every leader, every philosopher.
“My grandma told me there are only two types of decisions: decisions made out of fear and decisions made out of growth.”
A growth-based decision becomes the story of your life later. A fear-based decision turns into regret.
I learn from Charlie Chaplin to take control of every aspect of my creativity and freedom.
Charlie Chaplin left us with three great quotes that show he had the Choose Yourself mentality.
“Nothing is permanent in this world, not even our troubles.”
“I like walking in the rain, because nobody can see my tears.”
“A day without laughter is a day wasted.”
Bruce Lee said, “I don’t fear the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks. I fear the man who practiced one kick 10,000 times.”
Sunlight doesn’t just hit you. When you open the window, the sunlight hits everything in your house. When you open the window of learning, you don’t learn just the specific thing you are trying to see. You begin to see everything that is now lit. The real art is paying attention to all of the things you can now see. Now that the sunlight is pouring in.
Losses are the maps that point you to what you never knew before.
Reinvention is never over. Today is the first day.
REINVENTION NEVER STOPS.
YOU START FROM SCRATCH.
YOU NEED A MENTOR.
DIRECT. Someone who is in front of you who will show you how they did
INDIRECT. Books.
EVERYTHING IS A MENTOR.
DON’T WORRY IF YOU DON’T HAVE PASSION FOR ANYTHING.
TIME IT TAKES TO REINVENT YOURSELF: FIVE YEARS.
IF YOU DO THIS FASTER OR SLOWER THEN YOU ARE DOING SOMETHING WRONG.
