Uber’s new investors included the actors Sophia Bush, Olivia Munn, Edward Norton, Ashton Kutcher, and Jared Leto; the performers Jay Z, Jay Brown, and Britney Spears, along with her former manager Adam Leber; the talent agency William Morris; and the music manager Troy Carter. From high tech, he helped bring in Jeff Bezos and Google CEO Eric Schmidt. All these luminaries put in between $50,000 and $350,000 each. By 2016, their stakes had grown twenty times.
