Your mom is your blood and bone before your body even knows how to make any.
Being afraid of the world, of unknown beasts, only makes you feel alone. Sometimes you just need to get on the plane and hope nothing bad happens.
In some regions, this does happen, but there’s something odd about other people using depictions of this holiday with no thought to when it actually takes place. Imagine if brown people kept making movies in which people were celebrating President’s Day for no discernible reason.
A place, any place, can be beautiful and perfect and damaged and dangerous at the same time.
That’s where her roots get pulled out.
