I'm single and do the dishes once a week. It doesn't make sense to run the dishwasher with less than a full load.

The only way to keep a kitchen in a state where it’s easy to clean is to do the dishes every single day, whether you have a dishwasher or not.

Rather than doing them every day, always unload clean dishes, so dirty dishes can be put in. Then when the dishwasher is full--run it.

This is actually important and a good reason. You don't run the diswasher for one plate, knife, fork, spoon, and a glass.

Not a fun one, but a game.
