I know that’s easier said than done, but that’s what it comes down to. You have no choice but to accept it, so it’s up to you whether you want to waste more time living in the past, trying to solve an insoluble problem instead of moving on with your life.”
Not all guys are the same. We’re fucked-up for different reasons.
“Don’t be afraid to say what you want. Life is too short.”
“You can’t always get what you want. But don’t be afraid to ask.”
But if there was one thing I’d learned from this, it was that you can’t control your attraction to someone. If it’s there, it’s there. It can either be ignored or acted upon but not controlled.
Continuing to be his friend seemed impossible because I was pretty sure I was falling in love with him.
Sometimes, life doesn’t wait for the right time. Sometimes, a sudden situation brings people together whether they are ready for it or not.
“You don’t know what will happen. Any one of us could die tomorrow.”
They say your life flashes before your eyes, right? Well, you were the only thing that flashed before mine. Just you.”
“You only get one true love, one soulmate. Not everyone is lucky enough to find that person in a lifetime.”
“I had a thousand things memorized to say to you in this moment, but I can’t think of a single one. What you mean to me, Chelsea, defies language. It can’t be summed up in words or reduced to a minute recitation. Just know that I love you with all of my heart and soul and that it’s limitless. As long as my heart is beating, it will only beat for you.”
“If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s how to live with fear. I live every day not knowing if I’m gonna drop dead at the drop of a hat. But I refuse to let it dictate my life anymore. So, I’ll handle it just like everything else.
No matter how scary this is, I have to put everything in His hands at this point and thank him for blessing me with all the things I didn’t think I could ever have.”
I guess that’s what it’s like when you love someone. The thought of something happening to the other person is far worse than the thought of something happening to yourself.
“Sometimes, the best things are right under your nose all along.”
