How to Be a Bawse: A Guide to Conquering Life

I’m not naive enough to think that every deep-rooted issue is solvable, but perhaps the only solution is to simply be self-aware. If there’s a leaky faucet in your soul that you’ve tried over and over again to fix but you simply cannot, buy a bucket, warn people about the leak, and be prepared to get a little wet. After all, none of us are perfect.

It’s great to consider other people’s feelings, but don’t forget that you’re also a person who deserves to be considered. It’s essential for you to stop and think about how something makes YOU feel. Then you can make a decision based on EVERYONE you love. That’s the difference between being selfish and loving yourself.

Don’t give up before you even try. I refuse to believe something can’t happen until I’m flat-out told NO. To be honest, sometimes even after hearing NO I still don’t believe it can’t be done. Why? Because I’m relentlessly determined. And you know what? It’s worked out great for me so far. It’s fine to push for what you want, as long as you’re charming and polite about it.

When you’re climbing the ladder, the heaviest piece of clothing you wear is often your pride. In my opinion, waiting hours to meet these two people doesn’t mean I don’t know my worth; it means I think they’re worth my time.

Being active has nothing to do with being sexy, sculpting a six-pack, or fitting into a smaller size. It’s about making sure your body can keep up with your hustle. Having

I know the quote goes “When one door closes, another opens.” But why didn’t anyone ever try opening the closed door? Or better yet, finding a back door? I just feel like that quote doesn’t factor in effort or imagination or logic. A Bawse knows that, yes, sometimes failure does indeed mean starting over. But a Bawse also knows that other times failure can be molded into unexpected success.

Being the dumbest person on your team doesn’t make you a stupid person; it means you’re smart enough to select people to work with that you can learn from. It also means checking your ego and being okay with the fact that you aren’t the best at something.

At the end of the day, you can’t learn new things if you’re always the one giving the lessons. You need to be around people who challenge you, intimidate you, and teach you new things.

If you say what you mean, you don’t need someone to edit your words. Your feelings are authentic to you and therefore don’t need revision.
