First a man, then a bush, then a pillar, and finally a spirit that dwelled in a temple in the greatest city of His people’s nation.

From a bush to a pillar, to an ark, to a temple tied to soil, to a man free to roam, to a Holy Spirit who dwells in the hearts of all God’s followers. That’s God at the close of the Bible story, but God continued to change.

But my faith gives me something else. A sense of meaning, belonging, and purpose in the midst of all those facts.

Science gives us fact. Faith gives us meaning.

Actually, faith gives us hope.
