This is purely vibes based, but this sounds too much just like regular medieval fantasy to me. When writing Neolithic fantasy I'd not use dragons. They go way back in human cultural memory, but... As I said the vibes.

So were ponds—hard to find a good thinking pond, though. They needed to be isolated in a deep wood with plenty of cattails and dragonflies and few, or preferably no, biting bugs. A good thinking pond was located on the northern side of the Crescent, but it was too far so she settled for her string.
