It’s a generational thing, a friend & I have discussed this issue & it seems those who came before Gen X tend to have a different relationship with their children than mothers do now & it’s a shame as it does put stress on how they get along, the parents for the large part, my way or the highway & the children are like “cya later!”…. ^That’s a slightly flippant generalization, but still accurate nonetheless ^
