“Sweetness,” I said against her lips. “Nothing in here is gonna hurt you. I swear. Nothing will ever hurt you when you’re with me.”
“Carmen,” I said, my voice low, rough, “I love you. So fucking much. But please. Shut up and let me taste you. I’ve been waiting for this all day.”
Mine. She was marked with my initials. She obeys me.
She was always ready for me. Always. No matter what mood she was in, when I got between her, what’s mine called for me.
“Every inch of skin,” she breathed, eyes locked on mine as she sank onto me slowly. “Every vein. Every strand of hair. Every drop of precum.
“Skin to skin. Deep inside me,” Carmen said, voice low and raw. “I want you to feel my warmth around you and know that every inch of it belongs to you. It was made for you. It’s yours, Teddy. Claim it. Take it.”
“You do shit like this and wonder why I never pull out,” I said, voice thick with want. “If it’s mine, baby, let me mark it.”
“Yes?” I asked, still staring at our mixture as it began to run down to her ass. “Did you?” I shook my head. “Nah.” “So you’re listening and learning? Good boy.”
Her pussy was so pretty painted like this. The soft pink on the inside, enveloped in dark brown and highlighted by the sticky mess we made. All topped off by that piercing she let me give her, when I had her trust.
Don’t let the little shit get too big.
And don’t forget that this right here— This is all that matters and it’s all mine.
He released my hands and slowly reached into his jacket pocket. “When I asked your dad about this—” Tears welled in my eyes. “You asked my Dad?” “Of course I did.” And just like that, he was down on one knee. “He said to take care of you out here. And I plan to do that for a very long time.”
The velvet box opened with a soft click. Inside was a ring, princess-cut with a golden band shaped like a stem. It was at least twenty carats. Theo looked up at me with steady, quiet eyes.
“You don’t get to decide what I do with my life. Especially not without asking me first.”
“I want that future, Theo.” The fire crackled. My voice came out small. “But. Is loving me enough to get us to that future?”
“I don’t wanna just exist in your future,”
“I want to build something with you. Together. You used to understand that. You used to know me so well.”
“I gave you everything I had, Carmen. Everything.” “You gave me everything but a choice.”
He didn’t deny it. His silence was its own confession.
It didn’t matter who was right. The truth was—we’d both lost.
“If this is really how we end,” I whispered, “just know I never stopped loving you. I may never stop loving you. Even when I didn’t know how to love you right.”
Relationships are really fucking complicated. Especially when the trust has been broken and everything about your relationship is put to the test.”
But sometimes distance gives you perspective.”
Because we loved each other enough to try again.”
“Teddy. You love me and I love you. But that doesn’t mean we’re good for each other right now.”
Our truth lay somewhere in the middle. We loved each other enough to know what we had right now was not sustainable. But we knew that our futures would intertwine beyond our current understanding. So for now, it was okay that we parted. It simply meant that when we met again, it would be extraordinary.
