After nine years of colored contacts and hair dye Neil finally had his natural coloring back. With auburn hair and bright blue eyes he was a spitting image of the murderous father he'd spent half his life outrunning.

"Sometimes I think this job is going to kill me," Abby said. "Seeing what people have done, what people continue to do, to my Foxes. I wish I could protect you, but I'm always too late.
"I can walk," Neil said. "Proud of you," Wymack said. "Didn't ask."
It was Friday, January 19th. "Neil Josten" was supposed to turn twenty on March 31st. Today Nathaniel Wesninski turned nineteen years old.
This was a picture of Nathaniel Wesninski; this was the moment Neil gave Andrew his name.
"By the way, I'm making you vice-captain next year." Neil's heart lodged in his throat. He twisted to stare at Wymack, but it took two tries to find his voice. "You're what?"
The dealership had given him two keys for his new ride, and Andrew was giving the second one to Neil.
Andrew kissed him like this was a fight with
their lives on the line, like his world stopped and started with Neil's mouth. Neil's heart stuttered to a stop at the first hard press of lips against his and he reached up without thinking. His hand made it as far as Andrew's jaw before he remembered Andrew didn't like to be touched. Neil caught hold of Andrew's coat sleeve instead and knotted his fingers in the heavy wool.
"Ninety-two percent," Andrew said, "going on ninety-three."
"Hey," he said, but Andrew didn't look at him. "Thank you." "Go away before I push you off the side," Andrew said.
"A quick death," Andrew said. "I've already decided where to hide your body." "Six feet under?" Neil guessed. "Stop talking," Andrew said, and kissed him.
"You are a Fox,"
Do you want to be there for it? It's the story I should have given you months ago." "I have to go," Andrew said. "I don't trust them to give you back."
"But come back to us as soon as they're done with you, okay? We'll figure this out as a team." "As a family." Nicky attempted a smile.
"We'll wait for you, all right? As long as it takes, Neil."
"Your neck fetish is not attractive." "You like it," Neil said, unapologetic. "I like that you like it."
Andrew bit the question into the corner of Neil's jaw. "Yes or no?" "It's always yes with you," Neil said. "Except when it's no," Andrew said. Neil put a plastic-wrapped finger to Andrew's chin, guiding his head up for another kiss. "If you have to keep asking because—I'll answer it as many times as you ask. But this is always going to be yes."
