It’s important to note that an MTP is not a mission statement. Consider Cisco’s mission statement, which is neither inspirational nor aspirational: “Shape the future of the Internet by creating unprecedented value and opportunity for our customers, employees, investors, and ecosystem partners.” While there’s some Purpose there, and it’s somewhat Massive, it’s certainly not Transformative. Furthermore, it is a statement that could be used by at least a dozen Internet companies.
