During the course of 1943 the manner of the beatings worsened and a new sort of Bock was introduced. Women were put in special rubber pants in case they urinated and told to lie face-down on the table, which was indented like a trough, edged with wooden rods, and had iron stirrups for the legs, placed below knee level. Two inmates, usually green or black triangles, put the woman into the stirrups and fastened a leather belt that went around her shoulder blades.
