I learned to humanize every client I would ever have, every person I would ever come across. There are things you can’t ever learn about a person until you’ve seen the absolute worst in them: fear, failure, anger, panic, shame, desperation. Throw sex, alcohol, drugs, and money into the mix and you’ve got the makings of a perfect storm.

Loved this. Man these memoirs are something else! So glad i found this series.
