What in the actual fuck was Cooper’s brain coming up with right now?
“Okay. Puppy.” Chaos grinned, the picture of delight as his tail swished behind him. “That’s what I’ll call you.”
“I think I’d like to nibble your fingers, even, but I might accidentally take one off, so I’ll refrain.”
His soul piece was…soft. And sad. And tired. Chaos couldn’t stop prodding at the little niblet in his chest, wishing he could take the piece out and study it. How did one so young become so sad and lonely?
What a silly bean.
If Cooper was still asleep, perhaps Chaos would try nibbling at one of those elegant fingers after all. He’d be very careful though. It wouldn’t do to damage his future mate.
If Chaos did stay, it was going to end up being some sort of social anxiety exposure therapy: extreme edition, wasn’t it?
Chaos grinned back. This really could be his very best summoning yet.
And oh, he was pretty, wasn’t he?
And Cooper laughed. Chaos had been right—it was a very pretty sound. It wasn’t bright or boisterous like Chaos’s cackling tended to be. Instead it was soft and gentle, like a happy little babbling brook. Chaos let it fill his head, a pleasing chime he’d replay when he was feeling restless.
Chaos wanted him in his hypothetical orgy? Why was that so fucking cute?
Of course he was. He was a fucking mess, and apparently Chaos knew every bit of it. Although…Chaos didn’t seem to mind Cooper’s nervousness or his embarrassment. He’d even just said it was…tasty?
Chaos was going to turn Cooper’s life upside down, wasn’t he?
Chaos frowned down at the phone in his hand. “You’re not going to want to kiss me anymore,” he said in a quiet voice. Quiet and pathetic. Cooper should really take pity on him. Chaos was counting on it.
“That wasn’t enough, um, practice?” “Of course not. I set the bed on fire, didn’t I? I’ll need lots of practice.” Chaos gave Cooper a stern look. “Lots.” “But the bed thing was about—” “Lots,” Chaos repeated firmly.
He was going to curl up with Cooper, obviously. Friends snuggled, didn’t they?
“No, silly,” Chaos told him, at his usual volume. “I want to blow you.” In case Cooper didn’t fully understand, he clarified, “I want to put my mouth on your cock and suck on it.”
“I’m not generally, like, some sort of wildcat in the bedroom.” “No, you aren’t, are you?” Chaos said with a sly smile, his golden eyes finally darting up to meet Cooper’s gaze again. “You’re sweet.” He reached out a taloned hand to stroke Cooper’s bare knee. “Pliant.” His thumb swept up the sensitive skin of Cooper’s inner thigh. “Agreeable.”
“Pretty,” he whispered, more to himself than to Cooper. “Very pretty.”
He knelt in front of Cooper’s spread legs then, licking his lips like he was seating himself at some lecherous buffet.
Chaos leaned back, pushing Cooper’s head up from his chest. He stroked Cooper’s cheek. “You summoned me, but I think I summoned you too.”
But this—having someone curled against him, someone for Cooper to hold and be held by—this was what was going to be hard to lose, when Chaos found his human mate. Cooper could only hope he’d survive it.
Chaos didn’t tell Cooper, but every time he coated Cooper with his cum, he was secretly saying, Mine. My human. Marked and claimed.
And if Ivan caused any problems… Well, then it wouldn’t matter what Ivan did anymore, because Chaos would burn him down to a crisp.
The demon was too…sweet, for all that he was dangerous and maybe a little feral.
“But, puppy,” he murmured, a sly edge to his voice. “What if I put one of those toys inside you and I get all jealous?”
“Our hatchlings would be so cute, don’t you think? Should we try to make some?” A new sort of anxiety coursed through Cooper. Chaos couldn’t mean… “Right. But. Wait.” Cooper shook his head. “That can’t actually—we can’t actually—”
Breeding his perfect, loyal summoner.
“I can’t answer,” Cooper groaned. “I’m dead. You killed me with your demon dick.” “Is that human speak for a very good job? Very good, very gentle, very human sex?” “Sure. We’ll go with that.”
It was going to hurt like hell when Chaos finally left.
That was three of them in the same family shacked up with demons. Jesus. Did they have some sort of blood-borne condition that predisposed them? Or was it just…generally contagious?
“Hey, Nix,” he whispered. “Yes?” Nix whispered back, leaning in conspiratorially. “Male demons can’t…impregnate human men, right? No…no hatchlings? That’s not a real thing, right?” Nix was silent for a long moment, and then he burst into delighted laughter, looking over Cooper’s head to Chaos. “Bracchus,” he chastised, although he sounded fond. “What trouble have you been getting into?” “Don’t you think we’d make adorable hatchlings though?” Chaos asked, his dimple flashing.
“I don’t try to manage him.” At Nix’s questioning look, Cooper explained, “If you let Chaos be who he is—if you don’t try to control him—he appreciates it. He pays attention to where the boundaries are. He manages himself.”
But after a moment, Nix gave him a slow smile. “You two are a good match after all,” he murmured. “How unexpected.”
Well, they couldn’t actually make adorable hatchlings—as Cooper had found out today—but they would definitely put in the effort over and over and over again.
The Wolfe fellow got Chaos’s hackles up, his energy weird in a way that was maybe exciting or maybe terrible, Chaos hadn’t decided yet.
Chaos did kind of like the idea of this little guy being a bloodthirsty monster underneath the cute packaging,
And then Chaos would return, triumphant and maybe even a little bloody, and they would mate ferociously and make pretend hatchlings together.
The others were already transforming, so Chaos let his demon form erupt, tail and wings and horns sprouting from his body. He caught Jay’s gaze—oooh, the little vampire’s eyes had turned all black; that was cool—and winked at him, grinning when Jay flashed his little fangs at him.
Chaos took back his previous indecision—Wolfe was great.
