MALACHI 3 “Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the LORD of hosts.
unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
48You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
34“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
7“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.
12“So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
“What have you to do with us, O Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?”
13Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”
28And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
32So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, 33but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.
30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
So it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”
31Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
36I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, 37for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
16Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
20For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
30For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.
37And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38This is the great and first commandment. 39And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”
9And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven.
9And Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” He replied, “My name is Legion, for we are many.”
(Thus he declared all foods clean.)
For all things are possible with God.”
43But it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, [52] 44and whoever would be first among you must be slave [53] of all. 45For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
“Whoever has two tunics [18] is to share with him who has none, and whoever has food is to do likewise.”
14Soldiers also asked him, “And we, what shall we do?” And he said to them, “Do not extort money from anyone by threats or by false accusation, and be content with your wages.”
32I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.”
35The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days.”
27“But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. 29To one who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also, and from one who takes away your cloak do not withhold your tunic [30] either. 30Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back. 31And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.
first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother's eye.
49But the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the stream broke against it, immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.”
31And they begged him not to command them to depart into the abyss. 32Now a large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside, and they begged him to let them enter these. So he gave them permission.
23And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.
62Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”
20Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
2And he said to them, “When you pray, say: “Father, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. 3Give us each day our daily bread, [59] 4and forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation.”
Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.
22And he said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. 23For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.
25And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?
11For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
24For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’
10“One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.
10So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘We are unworthy servants; [92] we have only done what was our duty.’”
for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.”
For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”
26‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.
5The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
9The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world. 10He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him.
23He said, “I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, ‘Make straight [6] the way of the Lord,’ as the prophet Isaiah said.”
“Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
