He dotes on my every wish. If not for meeting Bradshaw, I would love him entirely. I’m sure of it.
I think I’ve changed him in these short years. The darkness in his eyes has faded and has been replaced with longing for things I can’t give him.
“Do you remember how that man looked at you before we sent them away?”
“He looked at you and I saw the weight of the universe in his eyes.”
“You know… I saw you look at him the same way.”
“You’ve never looked at me the way you look at him. Not once.”
“It’s okay—I don’t need your love in return. Your presence alone is enough for me.”
“My love is enough for the both of us. As long as you know you are my world, it is enough.”
My home will always be with Bradshaw. I wish I could remember his smile instead of the pain I saw before he left.
“You weren’t supposed to come back for me, you idiot.”
“I never left, Bun. My heart and every thought have been here with you all this time. If that makes me a fool, then I don’t give a fuck. There’s no me without you.”
“I’m never letting you go again, Bun. Never. You’ve always belonged to me. I don’t give a fuck what you said to me that night. I know you lied to get me to leave.”
“I’ve always been yours,” I whisper.
“Really?” I laugh at how innocent he sounds. “Really.”
“You liked it when I gave you this, didn’t you?” His voice is nostalgic, but there’s a drop of lust that slips off his tongue. “I saw how your legs squeezed together and how shadows collected in your eyes. I knew then that you were something dangerous I shouldn’t crave.”
“I loved every second of it,” I say shakily.
What god would make a man like Bradshaw? He’s made the impossible mission to get back to me and instead of quickly whisking me away, he spends the time to greet me thoroughly. The wet arousal growing between my thighs shortens my breath with need.
“I missed ruining you,”
“I’ve ruined men much worse than you.”
“You don’t hate this part of me?” He lowers his forehead to mine. “Which part?”
“The monster that only wants you.”
He doesn’t give me a second to answer; his lips are crashing down on mine and for the first time in three and a half long years, I feel whole again. The fire inside my chest that always burned hotter near Bradshaw comes back to life.
“It’s the monster in me,” I manage to say between hushed moans. His brow raises. “That craves the one in you.”
“I was hoping you’d say that.”
“Oh, Bunny, baby. Did I make your pussy cry like this? How many nights did you pleasure yourself thinking of me?”
“So many.”
“I’ve been waiting for you for so long, Bun. I want to erase every trace of him from you.”
“No heart is as cold as mine’s been these past years.”
I’m his only way to escape the heavy thoughts that run rampant in his mind. He’s my only escape too. And for years, we’ve suffered. No more suffering. No more hurting.
“Your lips feel so fucking good wrapped around my cock. Suck me dry, baby,”
“Was he good to you?”
“He treated me like a queen. I never wanted for anything.” Oh. Am I too late… “Anything but for you. I could never love him like I do you, Bradshaw. He was good to me… but he isn’t you
“Have you been watching me?”
“Always. I’ve been watching you all this time. Sometimes from binoculars or across the room.
Other times from surveillance. I’ve been with you. Each starlit walk you took with him, every small look over your shoulder waiting for someone. For me. I was there. I never left you behind.”
But I never saw her tell him that she loved him. Not once.
“What took you so long?”
I promise you, Bunny, not one day has passed where I rested. Not one.” “You should’ve forgotten about me.”
“Impossible.” I take her hand and press it against my heart. “You feel that, Bun? It only beats for you. Bones has been dead for years. I just woke up again when I kissed you.”
“I love you, Bradshaw.”
“I love you too. I want you to say it to me a thousand more
times.” I press a kiss to her forehead. “After we get home.”
“Lead the way...

I nod gravely. They came back for me. One is already dead for it.
“He refused to let you go,”
“He would’ve come alone if he had to.”
“I’m sorry about Harrison.”
“Bunny, stay by my side while we move out there,” Bradshaw
mutters as he turns his attention to me and o...
