“You have a real ass man. I’m your shooter and you don’t need a gun. It’s good right where it is, in your lockbox back at your crib,” I tell her.
“I still can’t believe you ran me a bath,” she says softly. “Why? I’ll do anything for you. If you don’t know that shit, love, I’m not doing a good job as yo’ nigga. Don’t let this slip up today plant any doubt in yo’ pretty head.”
“I’m always trying to be all up in your space. It’s my favorite place.”
When I’m around you, I can’t imagine you paying for anything you want or need. I can’t even imagine you opening your own doors. None of that shit. You carry yourself like you deserve everything and anything and the man in me naturally wants to give and do it all for you.
“I’ve been telling the best man that I know no. I’ve been holding onto a promise that I made based on my father leaving. While I’m over here pushing you away, she was letting him back in.”
I could have lost the best thing that ever happened to me because you left. You showed me just how selfish and full of shit a man can be.
