But she snorted 4 sentences ago. The tears need ti be set up better, and the snort removed

“Are you Greek?” I asked, having noted his accent.

Mention of his accent should've been when he spoke. This is confusing

red dragon flying straight up and breathing fire.

Change 'flying up straight' to soaring or in-flight

I exhaled a breath of calm and sat on the bed.

Calm? Maybe tried to calm herself. But saying shes calm right after crying? Yeah, that doesn't make sense
