“Brainless humans. Dressing an assassin as a lady of pleasure. Though I suppose that was part of a weak-minded plan, to distract us with a fresh human whore.”
“Skilled but no match for me blade—well, and Prince Mendax holding her. What we doin’? Just leavin’ the body? The wildwood creatures will eat her. Though her human cunt is still viable, dead or not.”
“Leave the human, it’d probably rot your dick off.”
The slimy-looking creature ground its pelvis against the floor salaciously as it stared at me, open-mouthed.
“I’m gonna empty that weak human skull of yours and fuck it. I’ll be hearing your delicious screams until it overflows with my seed. You’ll be screaming for a week, begging me to kill you.”
Dark green liquid shot out from between his legs and splattered across my chest and face.
I was going to die getting skull fucked, covered in monster seed.
What did they think I could do? He and every other male here dwarfed me.
How he ran the kingdom with cold efficiency, annihilating anyone that went against him. He was a killer.
“First, I’m going to smash your pretty face in against those cell bars over there.” He pointed to the bars at the front of the cell. “Then I’m going to dump my cum into your mouth after I fuck it raw,” he hissed.
“How sweet.” He looked from me to Walter. “The human assassin protects you. I wonder how far she’ll go to save you, brother?”
He paused at the door and looked back at me, letting out a two syllabled whistle while he patted the thigh of his black pants. “Come,” he commanded with a rumble and a smirk.
“I’ve recently decided I don’t like others touching my things, touching what’s mine.”
“Send the maids back in, or I will bludgeon you with your own candlestick!”
“Lie back now and let me dress your wounds or I will crawl inside your mind and force it,” he threatened.
Smoke unfurled from his back, showcasing his wide wings.
“I’m sorry. How did he die?” “I killed him,” he said calmly. “Is that truly your answer to everything? Just kill it?”
“You develop a taste for blood when you’re constantly licking your own wounds,”
“Trust me when I tell you, I am the last person the humans would send to disarm you.”
“Until this moment, I didn’t know you could crave something you’ve never wanted.”
“I still hate you,” I said calmly as I stared at the black fabric that covered his large chest. “I still need you dead,”
“Take this,” he said as he handed me the black cloud-like comforter of his bed. I paused to watch him a moment before taking it into my cage. Was he truly giving me his bedding so I didn’t have to sleep on the hard floor? “It’s covered in your filthy human blood,”
A chill overcame my body as I ran my fingers over the small tooth that hung from my neck. The molar was hers. She had spit it at me in all her fiery magnificence in the blood room. I had pocketed it without thinking.
“I am vexed with the thought of you constantly.”
“Because if you’re not dead, I fear I will leave everything to follow you.”
“If you die tonight and I never get to tell you, you are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.”
A male fae’s wings only appeared when they wanted to fuck or fight.
“How sweet, the monster has fallen in love with the human,”
“We are bonded. NOW, Mother! Do it now!”
I knew in that very moment I was so deeply in love with her, and she would be the one thing capable of my demise. The weak point in my unbreakable armor. I stared at her, and it scared me to death. It scared me to death what I wouldn’t do for her.
Get up. You’re a terrible assassin. I thought you had pull with animals?
Get out of my fucking head! And I’m not a fucking assassin! Does a well-trained assassin roll up in a ball and wish for death surrounded by snakes, you idiot?
Get out of my head, Mendax! I hope if I do die, you feel every single thing through the bond. Every tiny ounce of pain from me being killed and gone forever.
You have no idea the level of pain I will feel when you are gone forever.
Fight, lamb. Show me the serpent that I know you really are, Callie. Give me all the venom you’ve got.
That mouth of yours is making me hard with all of these venomous threats.
“I can lose everything, but not you. I can’t lose you,” he whispered so quietly I knew I wasn’t meant to hear.
“We may have both been trying to destroy each other, lamb, but rest assured, only you have succeeded,”
He was insane.
“And I still want you dead just to rid myself of these nagging feelings! You are mine, and I will kill the entire world if it means keeping you,”
“I-I have tried so hard to eradicate you from where you now live inside me.”
“How does it feel?” he said, breathing heavily. “To know that I love you and that you have doomed me? That you and only you have the power to disarm and debilitate me. That you, a human, have dismantled every part of me and rebuilt it as a shrine in your honor.”
“I am selfish, and I like hurting people.” A haggard breath left him. “It doesn’t matter if you belong here or not. I won’t spare even half a thought before I murder every person in this world if they get in my way. I would search the crevices of hell and every nook in between for you. The fae will beg you to stay, knowing that is what keeps their loved ones alive another day.”
“And you aren’t as good and full of sunshine as you would like people to believe, my little assassin. I see straight through you. It has my dick hard waiting to see what type of hellhound you truly are.”
He still thought I was an assassin sent to kill him.
I must do something about her fragile human mortality—I
The same humans that ruined your father!
She knew that I would end her—just as I did my father—should she get in my way.
He was crazy. An evil, psychopathic villain.
