Or kumara as they’re called here in Aotearoa, they were brought here by the first Polynesians that came here to live, way before the Americans decided to rename OUR historical vegetable, & it IS of historical significance here, back way way when there wasn’t a lot of food sources such as this one & it played a big part in the life & health of our settlers.
