the sardines lying there beneath you, tantalizing you, but you couldn’t yet touch or taste them.
& that’s a good place to leave them, where you cannot touch them. I honestly cannot understand how people actually really like eating these, what in the hell is the attraction? Their fishieness? How oily & slimey they are? Just thinking about it makes me want to gag!
