Let me say a word about the whole good–evil thing. I understand people’s need to organize their lives into neat categories. In my experience, though, it’s as much about justifying your actions as any kind of metaphysical sense of right and wrong.
The lower you go, the more it becomes a residence. A home. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still deeply weird, especially to an outsider. But at some point, the strangeness transitions from defense to a reflection of Nepherous’s personality, taste, and sense of humor. The man is a four-hundred-year-old necromancer. He raises the dead for fun. You can’t expect a country manor.
