In the beginning of 2014, when Day started, Overwatch was just a few basic prototypes and half-finished characters. By the end of the year, as they prepared to reveal the game at BlizzCon, they’d built a full demo, with a dozen heroes that players would be able to take into six-on-six combat. No game at Blizzard had coalesced that quickly since the 1990s.
