“I feel like asking you to marry me is literally pointless, all things considered, but I would still like to present this to you like this because it’s what I would have done with a human.”
“There are many things I wanted to do in my life. One of those things was to get down on one knee for the person I loved, and wanted to spend the rest of my life with, and ask them to marry me. It wasn’t a decision I would have made lightly, and I had planned to put my all into it.”
“I probably haven’t proven it to you yet, but I’m actually a really loyal person. Once someone steals my heart, it’s pretty hard for me to let them go. You have stolen mine, Aleron.”
“When I think we are both ready, I would like to fully explain to you why things were so hard for me in the beginning. There were important people in my life that I had to abandon, and I would like to share my fond memories of them with you one day.”
“I felt so lost without this side of you. I wanted your affection so badly that I felt cold inside, but now my chest feels radiant. I want to hear you moan for me, Gideon. I missed your little cries, and your smiles, and the way your eyes began to light up at me. I crave to see your face hazy with need for me.”
“Lift your shirt,” Aleron demanded. “I want to see the body that’s mine. I wish to see you coming apart at my every touch.”
“They are so soft and warm,” Gideon whispered, twitching as they tickled him all over. “I can feel your heartbeat all around me. They feel lovely, darling.”
“I love you,” Aleron whimpered. Gideon’s gaze flickered, registering it. “I love you.”
“Hey, darling...” Look at him. He is being all chatty again. “I like it when you call me this,” Aleron stated, lifting a hand to brush the back of his curved claw under his jaw. “Is this your heart’s name for me?”
“Yeah, it’s your little spring’s pet name for you.” The joyous thrill that tore through him engulfed his chest. His wings attempted to flap around him. “Hey, Aleron.” “I thought it was darling,” he rumbled playfully, brushing his claw again.
“I-if it’s not too much trouble... could you heal me like before? Now that I’m not overcome with need, all your claw marks are really starting to sting.”
“Maybe I do not want you to walk. I rather like you docile for me.”
“Can you do me a favour?” Gideon asked, once more trying to battle the clog in his throat. “If we return to Tenebris, and we’re not together, can you come find me?” Aleron squeezed his hand – and his arse – comfortingly. “Of course, Gideon. I will always come for you.” A small smile twitched his lips, only to fall. “If I’ve forgotten you, can you make me fall in love with you again? No matter what it takes? I don’t want to have a future without you, no matter where it is.”
“I love you, Aleron.” Gideon lifted up just enough to press a kiss to his longest fang. “And I know I’ll love you no matter how many times I forget.” “I love you as well, little spring.” Aleron lifted his free hand to cup the side of his face. “I have, deeply, since Tenebris.”
My soul was his to steal in the afterlife, but it was my heart he took in this one.
That seam fucking scene, though... I knew I needed to add it! It would have been a crime if I didn’t. I also wanted to show how their tentacles would play with a man and all their dangly bits.
