This little Omega was our scent match. Our client. The woman we were going to pretend to be in love with for three weeks.
And fuck me, all I wanted to do was drop to my knees between her legs and be a throne for her to sit on like a queen.
“Well, Hawk,” Beau cleared his throat. “Since—” “It’s Elliot.” Beau blinked. “I’m sorry?” “My name. It’s Elliot.” I smothered the laughter bubbling up in my chest. A clear line in the sand. His friends called him Hawk, and Beau was not his friend.
So until she says she wants to have a conversation with you, I expect you to keep your distance. Be a good boy and don’t speak unless you’re spoken to.”
“You’ll have to tell me what he said to you to make your scent get even sweeter, princess. I didn’t think it was possible.” Cade pressed gently against my back, pulling me with him. We were probably ten feet from the front door, the line moving faster now that we were closer. I cleared my throat. “Don’t know what you’re talking about.” “That’s too bad. Maybe Joel will tell me later.” But Joel shook his head. “A gentleman never arouses and tells.”
“I want all of you. I know it’s crazy and impossible, but fuck me, I want all of you at once.” Rowan crawled next to us. “Why is that crazy and impossible?” I strained to kiss him and he closed the distance. Too gentle for how I felt. “Because I’m not cheese.” A laugh burst out of Hawk. “Baby girl. Cheese?” “You know the cheese with all the holes in it? I don’t have enough holes.”
“More than anything,” he said, lifting my hand and kissing my new ring, “This is a reminder.” “Of what?” They didn’t have to say the words. If their love were an ocean, I would drown in it. I couldn’t feel the edges. There were none. It stole my breath. “A reminder of what?” Joel smiled, and my pack stepped in, wrapping me in more than just their arms. “That the ocean isn’t the only thing that’s endless.”
