“You want to play Never Have I Ever instead?”
“Grayson,” Aiden calls from the kitchen. “We’re gonna play some games. Wanna join?”
How much do I want to bet they’re playing Never Have I Ever?
“Excuse me, can we come through?” A light voice comes from my side. My head turns, and I see an angel. I blink twice. I need to make sure I’m seeing right. I see a vision of blue as her eyes look up at me, and then she smiles. A smile so beautiful that I become hypnotized, apparently because I do nothing but stare back at her.
She turns her head to speak to her friend and laughs. I’m socked in the stomach at the sight. Her smile. Christ.
“Let’s play,” I hear someone say. Well, shit. If she didn’t know me before, she’s about to.
I think I’ve gone insane. That’s the only explanation for why I’m on my way to Grayson Carter’s house.
He’d be exactly the type of guy my mother would hate, she would despise everything he stands for, and maybe that’s why he entices me so much. Maybe that’s why I feel drawn to him, and maybe that’s why I’m currently on the way to his house, about to ask him to take my virginity.
I wish I could do that. The whole flirting thing, it always scared me.
I push my shoulders back and wait for him to open the door. This is it. This is what I came here for. This is what I wanted, and I’m finally going to get it.
I’m really about to do this. I’m about to ask Grayson Carter to take my virginity.
My mind floods with memories of Friday night’s party when we were playing Never Have I Ever. I looked at her. The whole night I kept my eyes on her. My angel is a good girl. She didn’t drink once.
From the very revealing questions last night, I can only assume that she’s as innocent as she looks and has probably never had a sweaty make-out session with someone, and the thought of that makes me want to find her even more.
Aiden walks out of the living room, and I walk over to him. “Have you seen a girl? Blonde hair.” He furrows his brows a little, and then his eyes widen. “Oh, you mean Rosalie?” he says. Rosalie. Jesus, even her name sounds sweet.
There she is, sitting on the front steps. I shut the door behind me as quietly as possible, not wanting to scare her away. “Were you looking for me?”
She looks heavenly, like an angel. I smirk; the nickname I gave her is very fitting.
“Are you serious?” I ask her in disbelief. She nods. “This is what you need help with?” She nods again. I smile, she’s so nervous she can’t even speak. “I think I’m going to need more of an explanation than a nod, angel.”
“Why do you want to do this?” I ask her. “It’s okay to not do everything in a Never Have I Ever game. It doesn’t make you less of a person because you’re not… active.”
“I want to be like you,” she says. My eyebrows raise. I step back in shock, wondering why the hell she would say that. “No one wants to be like me.” “I do.”
She can’t possibly be serious. She wants me to corrupt her, to make her everything she’s not, when that’s the first thing I noticed about her. How honest and pure and kind she is. Not a chance.
She blinks slowly, her eyes locked on mine. “I want to learn from you,” she husks out.
Unless… “Oh,” I say. “Are you not…” I breathe out a nervous laugh. “Are you not attracted to me?”
“I can pay you,” I blurt out. He raises an eyebrow. “I’m not a prostitute.”
“This might be a mistake,” he says with a smirk. “But I’ll help you.” I can’t help my face heating up as a smile spreads across my face. He smiles too, but then it drifts as he sighs. “But.” “But?” I ask him warily. “No sex.” “What?” “I’m sorry,” he says, shaking his head. “I can’t do that. It would be like taking advantage of you.”
“Shit. Rosie,” he says, closing the distance between us again.
“I’m kind of going to need your number if we’re going to be seeing each other for these… lessons,” he says, his lips upturning at the last word. I guess he’s like my life coach.
“Thank you. For helping me.” He smirks. “No problem, angel.” My breath hitches. Angel.
I can’t stop thinking about the list full of dirty things she asked me to do with her, to do to her. And if she were anyone else, I would have done it without hesitation.
“Hey, angel.” I smirk. She seemed to like it when I called her that, just as much as I like calling her that. “Hey,” she responds with a light giggle.
Right now, I’ve got an angel on the phone asking me to take her on adventures, to corrupt her, and sadistically, I’m enjoying it.
I hear a small laugh from the phone, and I can’t help but close my eyes and smile, imagining what that laugh would look like if she were here.
“You look gorgeous,” I say, because why the fuck not. It’s true.
“It’s an SRT Demon,” I tell her, knowing it will mean nothing to her, but I’m proud of this car. She snorts. “How fitting.” I laugh, running a hand through my hair. “Get in, angel.”
I’ll keep her safe. I promise. I never want to hurt her. I just want to show her a little fun.
I shrug, looking away from her. “Don’t really want to talk about it.” “Oh c’mon.” she says, “It can’t be worse than me coming to your house asking for you to take my virginity.”
“Come on, angel. I won’t bite.” I smirk at her. “Unless you ask me to.”
His lips turn upwards, flashing me a smile. “You really are an angel,” he says. “Why’s that?” “You’re so innocent, Rosie.”
He smirks. “Because it makes me want to corrupt you.”
All I want to do is stay here with him.
He finds me attractive. That’s good to know. I just wish he would show it.
When Grayson calls, I know I’ll have fun.
“You trying to get me drunk?” I tease. The previous scowl is wiped clean as he smirks. “Yeah. It was on your list. Number 1. Get drunk.”
“You’re so cute when you blush.”
I lick some of the salt around the rim, keeping my eyes on him. He shuffles in his chair, his hand gripping the glass tighter as he clenches his jaw. “I’m sorry,” I say. “Was I not supposed to do that?”
He smiles. “Lucky me.” “You could be.”
But everyone is watching her, looking at her. They can look all they want, but tonight she’s mine.
“You want to go home?” I whisper in her ear. She nods. “With you.” I laugh. This fucking girl. “Okay, angel, let’s go.”
I love being the reason for that smile.
I shrug. “That’s what I’m here for, angel.” She sighs, closing her eyes again. “I like when you call me that.” “Me too.”
“Help me,” she says from behind me. I curse under my breath, and then I turn around. She mutters those two words, and I do anything she says.
