Parenthood was a persistent cruelty, a constant, simultaneous desire to be together and apart.
Megan Lyons
This book really pulled my heartstrings when it comes to the constant pull you feel as a parent. Simultaneously the best part of life while also experiencing a slow heartbreak as they grow. Sometimes it feels like there’s no way we’ll survive this pain of losing one version of your child to the next.. but of course it’s all worth it.
