“You keep saying that.” “What?” “That I’m yours.” “Because I mean it.”

“No one has to know,” he echoes softly around that daring grin.

A deal with the devil, maybe, but if there’s one thing I learned from last night, it’s that he stands by his word if he gives it.

“Miss me, angel?” “No.”

He has my freedom in his hands.

“I always knew you had a bit of devil in you. Just enough to make you my perfect match. My perfect soulmate.”

Maybe I am his angel, but he’s my devil.
