I like how our conversation stops and starts but never loses its place. Like there’s an invisible bookmark we keep sliding in and out as we do other things.

“Blink twice if your soul is being held hostage by an alien being.”

Scenario C): Remy is a sociopath. Please hold while I drown in a sinkhole of horror.

“No!” I hiss. “If I find out he’s a sociopathic liar, he’s going to try and get me out of the game. I’m tethered to him, Osprey! If he’s a serial killer, I’m right there ready to be murdered. He has a machete!”
