Weak theology, on the other, is content with a little adverb like “perhaps,” which can do no more than interrupt or intercept, deflect or modify other, more prestigious substantive and verbal things, introducing modalities, conditions, degrees, and exceptions, focusing on the “how,” not the “what,” on little prepositions, not big propositions.
