The Practice of the Presence of God In Modern English

Let us renounce completely, for love of Him, everything that is not God.

We shall receive the abundance of His grace, through which we can do all things, and without which we can do nothing but sin.

We cannot escape the dangers of life except with the real and continual help of God. Let us ask Him for it constantly. How can we pray to Him without being with Him? How can we be with Him unless we think of Him often? And how can we think of Him often unless we make this a holy habit?

Simplicity itself, just think of Him, its all He asks us. As we are consumed in thought, we consume Him and are likewise Consumed by Him. God's Will

I do not pray that you be delivered from pain. But I earnestly pray to God that He will give you strength and patience to bear the pain. Comfort yourself in Him who holds you fastened to the cross. He will free you when He thinks it is the right time. Happy are those who suffer with Him. Accustom yourself to suffer in this manner. Seek strength from Him to endure the pain for as long as He thinks necessary.
