prophets do not have short memories when it comes to injustice.

A God who created something out of nothing can certainly create something greater out of little. God can do exceptional things with your exception.

Visualizing how much more ordered your home would be if your children were in a different stage of life won’t make the living room any cleaner. Churches don’t grow to capacity in imaginary buildings you wish you had. And banks don’t loan money for new houses based on your desired future income. The box is what it is. Most of the time, it’s not until we embrace our limitations that God can start to use us beyond our limitations.

suffering is not a detour on the road to greater. It’s a landmark. Discouragement is a marker, often not of being on the wrong path but of being on the right one.

once you’ve seen God do greater things, it’s addictive to believe Him for more.

Not until God asks us to do a humbling thing do we even recognize our pride.

If you want to live surrounded by God’s miracles, you have to come to terms with the fact that you’ll always be surrounded by enemies. You’ll often be amazed at what God can do through you.
