I’d once heard that we are nothing but our stories. Forget the blood and bones and genes and cells. They’re not what we are. We are, rather, our stories. We are an accumulation of experiences that we have fashioned into our own grand, sweeping narrative.
I’d tunnel my way under the businesses and institutions and corporations of the “real world” and come out, on the other side, with my body unshackled and soul unspoiled. My goal was simple and straightforward: get the fuck out of debt as fast as humanly possible.
