According to one study of online poker players, 52 percent have at least a bachelor’s degree34—about twice the rate in the U.S. population as a whole, and four times the rate among those who purchase lottery tickets.35 Most poker players are smart enough to know that some players really do make money over the long term—and this is what can get them in trouble.
