I read somewhere that in general, women tend to be more comfortable with someone sitting beside them, rather than across from them. Men tend to be the opposite.

I closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths, reminding myself that the anger was just anger, that it was a sensation, like feeling hot or cold. It didn’t mean anything by itself. It wasn’t a reason to act. That’s what thinking was for.

“You know,” I said aloud, “it’s just possible that I made a mistake in taking Mab’s deal.”

Wow Harry. Really .Who would have thought.

“Maeve. I kill her.” Which had been Mab’s freaking order in the first place.
