I have seen this too many times before. The unwarranted devotion. Putting up with the fear of being with the wrong person because you can’t deal with the fear of being alone. The hope tinged with doubt, and the doubt tinged with hope.

Kindness connects to who you are, while niceness connects to how you want to be seen.

Self-preservation isn’t worth it if you can’t live with the self you’re preserving.

I find it hard to concentrate on what’s being said. I find it hard to see how any of this is important. Nothing I’m being taught here will make life less painful. None of the people in this room will make life less painful.
