Specifically, we misread fiction when we approach it with the hope that it will shape our worldview. In chapter 4, I argued that Scripture alone should inform our worldview. A Christian reader may view the world through biblical eyes, but this vision is not necessarily learned through fiction. Literature can help us appreciate the beauty of the biblical worldview, and it can provide examples of the biblical worldview at work, but it cannot shape the main components of a Christian worldview.
