goods and bads - it was plotted well, a few things that went nowhere, it should have been a stand alone story - don't know why they wouldn't do that unless it's that they think the only way to tell a story is for there to be tension and they don't want them to break up because that's all they picture? Come on! Show them more comfortable and navigating different problems, external ones! Or just make this one really long book! The sequel was published two months later, it had to have been nearly done! A sequel doesn't have to mean happy for now, it can also be happily ever after! break the format!
The suffering gets harder,
like one has to rescue the other from certain death? come on, this isn't like that, there was only angsty suffering, they shouldn't have to deal with somebody who's willing to take some of their toes
