1. Aristotle has some really nasty thought about women - btw in Plato's Republic Plato talks of a philosopher-king to rule the state and in that he says there is no differentiation between men and women. If a women is smart enough then she should be a philosopher-king.
An autocratic ruler particularly “should appear to be earnest in the worship of the gods; for if men think that a ruler is religious and reveres the gods, they are less afraid of suffering injustice at his hands, and are less disposed to conspire against him, since they believe that the gods themselves are fighting on his side.”
