Kids who sport attitudes have parents who sport attitudes. Attitudes are caught, not taught.

So true! I am changing the way I behave in order to give a good example for my son.

Why do they misbehave around you? Because you expect them to, and the only way they can get attention from you is by misbehaving!

The most important thing is that you use consistent action, not words.

The authoritative parent is majoring on the relationship and minoring on everything else.

Never do for them what they can and should do for themselves. Don’t repeat your instructions. Expect the best of them. Don’t praise them.

This is really hard for me because I got praise from my parents and trying to break the habit it difficult.

Encourage them.
