If you repeat something enough, you can almost make yourself believe it.
I love her, I love the ugly mustard yellow bricks of Thomas Jefferson and the magenta-tinted halls. I love Ridgeview for being small and boring, and I love everyone and everything in it. I love my life. I want my life.
‘You never knew me. And you can’t make me better. Nobody can make me better.’ This reminds me of what I said to Kent only two days ago – I don’t think I can be fixed – but now I know I was wrong. Everyone can be fixed; it has to be that way, it’s the only thing that makes sense.
I guess that’s what saying good-bye is always like – like jumping off an edge. The worst part is making the choice to do it. Once you’re in the air, there’s nothing you can do but let go.
