Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

For who is there of all the children of men that is able to hear the voice of the Holy One without being troubled? And who can think His thoughts? Who is there that can behold all the works of heaven?   12 And how should there be one who could behold heaven, and who is there that could understand the things of heaven and see a soul or a spirit and could tell of it, or ascend and see all their ends and think them or do like them?

reconstructed from it.   The Book of Noah is mentioned several times in the Book of Jubilees. The editor simply changed the name Noah in the context before him into Enoch, for the statement is based on Gen. 5: 32, and Enoch lived only 365 years. Chapters 6-11 are from the same source. They make no reference to Enoch, but bring forward Noah and mention the sin of the angels that led to the flood, and of their temporal and eternal punishment. This section is a repeat of the Semjaza and Azazel myths.

presentation of the facts.   John Pratt and Sir Isaac Newton I first ran across the idea of taking the Enochian Calendar and applying it to the Prophecy in the Book of Daniel after reading the work of John Pratt. He had been spurred into the project after reading the calculations of Sir Isaac Newton regarding Biblical prophecies. After combing through the math and scriptural references, I concluded there was enough coincidence to give the theory weight. It is my hope that the language and references makes this complicated study understandable.

become significant. There have been thousands of attempts to explain Daniel’s “Weeks of Years.” All seem to be rather contrived to force a predetermined solution. Most deal with future prophecies, which is always a safe way to go, seeing as how the interpreter would usually be dead before his or her theory was proven incorrect.

Some say each year and each season started always on Wednesday, which was the fourth day of creation and the day when the lights in the sky, the seasons, the days and the years were created. Others claim the calendar began on Sunday, the first day of the week. To reconcile this calendar with the exact 365.24219 days they added a week every few years, in order to have the year always to start on Wednesday or Sunday, according to which scholar one believes.

Using Enoch’s calendar:  the exact day? The day of the crucifixion, Friday, April 1, A.D. 33, was the day preceding Passover on the Enochian calendar. Passover always falls on a Saturday on the Enochian calendar. The Friday crucifixion completed exactly 490 years to the very day on the Enoch calendar, because the 491st year would have begun on Passover, April 2, A.D. 33. Remember, there is no year zero. The calendar goes from 1 B.C. to 1 A.D. Thus, the interval from Ezra's departure to rebuild Jerusalem to the date Christ died was 7 x 70 or 490 years according to the Calendar of Enoch.

How do we know it was the exact day? Passover lasts seven days according to the Hebrew calendar and eight days according to the Gregorian and Enochian calendar, because the Hebrew Calendar begins the day at sundown. Out of these eight days, how do we know which day Jesus died?

astonishing solution The law of Moses required that the mother should present the son on the fortieth day after his birth, with an offering to the priest at the temple. The day of the birth was counted as day one, so the offering was made on his 39th day of life. That means that the day of presentation at the temple fell on Sunday, May 14, 1 B.C.. Because the Savior lived 33 years, that means the time from the presentation at the temple to his death was very close to 33 Enoch-fixed years. But, there is an exact match between his dedication and resurrection.  It is exactly 33 years of 364 days ...more

1 Enoch: Thoughts from the Author Both men and angels were given the highest gift in the universe, that of free will. We have the power of choice. Evil resides within the problem of choice. It is free will that convicts us. We are guilty of being evil because we can choose good. Free will is the very foundation of love, and the cornerstone of evil. It is free will which allows us to decide whether we will seek the glories of heaven or torment of hell. Whether one believes in a physical hell or not is beside the point. We, like Enoch, have the ability to transcend ourselves and become more than ...more

The short version or the Slavonic Enoch was probably written by a single author in an attempt to bring all the current traditions about Enoch of his time into a central storyline and system. The schema to accomplish the unity of traditions implements Enoch’s ascension through multiple heavens. This author was probably a Jew living in Egypt. There are several elements in the book, which indicate Egyptian origin. The longer version of 2 Enoch was seeded with Christian elements and appended with an ending that does not fit well, illuminating the fact that there were several authors involved in ...more

Enoch embraces gnostic concepts By far, the most interesting and confusing section begins around chapter 25 and runs for several chapters. Here the text takes a turn toward Gnostic theology and cosmology. The Gnostics were a Christian sect, which formed and grew in the first century A.D. and thrived in the second century A.D.
