Most authors, when asked what inspired them to publish a book, would say they love writing. I'm no different, except I'm equally passionate about arts and crafts, and I keep learning new things daily.

It helps me unwind as my day job is not in the creative industry. My brain is usually overworked by analysing everything it can see, so the time when I can simply relax with a pen or a pencil, and let my imagination take charge, is a bliss.

I wrote many articles and stories in the past and even started a book once on holidays, but I have never thought about publishing anything till last Summer.

Once you get over the writer's block and procrastination, of course! Whenever I managed to trick myself into writing, the hours would fly by, whilst I would be fully living in my imaginary world being built by my rapidly typing fingers. More than once, I would emerge after finishing a story starving with sore muscles, as I not only hadn't moved for four or five hours but also missed my meal. Being in the zone is the most rewarding and relaxing way of spending free time.(less)
