"The Star Warden returns to the old reliable tried and tested method of good versus evil, with no shades of grey. There is no questioning the lead character, Samuel Bailey’s resolve to save the world from Daimos and the threat he poses to both Earth a"

"This was a fun, action-packed little novel. Sam, a virtuous, old-fashioned human hero and his otherworldly, fairy-like wife, Kaguya, must battle a masterful villain who is destroying their home planet. I particularly enjoyed the mix of traditional fa"

"95% racist rant, 5% sarcastic humor. I wouldn't recommend this book to most people. To be honest I don't even know why I read it in the first place."

“Gvardiol: “The only thing that matters is power. And you must do all you can whether it be lying or killing to achieve it.”
Pep: “You’re wrong! What truly matters is truth. In our actions and in our words. I’ve always known it deep down. That’s why, I seek out the Terrans and their faith. My faith.”

“The extermination of their priests, the desecration of their holy sites, and the importation of alien peoples into their lands were unpleasant to be sure. But what they found offensive more than anything was the idea that they were not the masters of their own destiny.”

“Briefly stated, the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect is as follows. You open the newspaper to an article on some subject you know well. In Murray's case, physics. In mine, show business. You read the article and see the journalist has absolutely no understanding of either the facts or the issues. Often, the article is so wrong it actually presents the story backward—reversing cause and effect. I call these the "wet streets cause rain" stories. Paper's full of them.
In any case, you read with exasperation or amusement the multiple errors in a story, and then turn the page to national or international affairs, and read as if the rest of the newspaper was somehow more accurate about Palestine than the baloney you just read. You turn the page, and forget what you know.”

“Religion did not arise out of the need to assure social solidarity, nor were cathedrals built to encourage tourism.
Religion is socially effective not when it adopts socio-political solutions, but when it succeeds in having society be spontaneously influenced by purely religious attitudes”

“Socrates: So even our walks are dangerous here. But you seem to have avoided the most dangerous thing of all.
Bertha: What's that?
Socrates: Philosophy.
Bertha: Oh, we have philosophers here.
Socrates: Where are they?
Bertha: In the philosophy department.
Socrates: Philosophy is not department.
Bertha: Well, we have philosophers.
Socrates: Are they dangerous?
Bertha: Of course not.
Socrates: Then they are not true philosophers.”
